SmartCrew is an all-in-one construction management software built specifically for heavy equipment contractors and crews of 5–50 employees. It makes time tracking, job costing, and crew management effortless—so you can focus on running profitable projects instead of chasing paperwork.

How is SmartCrew different from other software?

If you’ve got a crew of 5-50, you are forced to choose between cheap time tracking apps (that don’t help you manage your business) or bloated, expensive enterprise software (HCSS, Viewpoint, Procore, etc) that costs $25k to setup and is so complex it takes someone three months to integrate it into your business.

Our story began in 1953, when my grandparents started a tiny construction company with nothing but a small dozer. My father and his brothers joined in the 1980s and grew that enterprise through for 40 years, building a legacy of hard work and dedication.

As they neared retirement, a critical question emerged: how could they ensure the business generated enough profit to secure their future?

The answer came unexpectedly.  

My younger cousin—now the third generation steering the company—called me for advice. With my background in business and technology, we brainstormed ways to leverage new technology to boost their bottom line profits.

During our conversation, he shared his frustrations caused by inaccurate timecards, hours wasted manually entering data and the chaos of trying to track project profitability in dozens of spreadsheets.

I looked at the market and realized there is ZERO software specifically designed for small construction companies.  You have cheap time tracking solutions with limited features or bloated enterprise software that costs $25,000-$50,000 to just setup.

Inspired by his ideas, my tech team developed a prototype that immediately resonated with our whole construction company. And just like that, SmartCrew was born.

Drawing on 75 years of industry experience, we understand that technology must be simple, reliable, and powerful.

As a small business ourselves, we built SmartCrew with the needs of smaller companies in mind.  We're not a sprawling corporate conglomerate, and we will never act like one.
